Siyanna Mahan | Founder & Principal, Fair Ground Impact
A social worker by training. A problem-solver by nature. A strategist committed to making systems work better for the people they serve.
Founded in St. Louis, Fair Ground Impact grew from a simple conviction: meaningful change begins with understanding the problem, not assuming we already know the solution.
My background in social work shapes how I approach institutional challenges, combining human-centered thinking with a systems-level perspective. Through the PUBLIC Method™, I help nonprofits, municipalities, libraries, and schools move beyond good intentions to develop strategies and programs that create meaningful, measurable impact.
Fair Ground Impact extends this mission through a cross-subsidy model: institutional consulting work helps fund Fair Play, our free youth initiative. Because lasting change should reach beyond the organizations that can afford to invest in it.

Fair Ground Impact is a strategic community development studio that equips nonprofits, schools, and public institutions to transform good intentions into measurable, defensive results. Through equity-driven strategy and human-centered design, we build responsive programs, partnerships, and engagement frameworks with people, not for them. Turning raw community insight into lasting, institutional impact.

Meet the Founder
I'm a social worker by training and a strategist by trade — which mostly means I've spent a lot of time asking “what's actually going on here?” before jumping to “here's what we should do.” I notice what's happening under the surface, ask better questions, and pay attention to who's in the room and who isn't.
That's the lens Fair Ground works from: take people, spaces, programs, and ideas seriously, then figure out what to build.

Hi, I'm Siyanna!
